Augie is four! I can’t believe it! We celebrated his birthday this past week with some of the warmest weather I can remember for February. On his actual birthday we surprised him to way too many toys (oops!) on the breakfast table when he woke up and m&m pancakes. For lunch, we went out to LeClaire, where it was so nice we were able to sit on the patio and look out on the river – we even caught a train drive by. Back at home it was so warm we had a water balloon fight in the yard! We capped off the day by having our neighbors over for homemade pizza and some cake.

That was a perfect birthday, however I’ve started the expectation of birthday parties for my kids… which I actually love and it makes me so happy to do for my kids, how lucky are we?! And Augie has been looking forward to his Trans-FOUR-mers birthday party for months now.
